tournament Rules, terms and conditions

Please read this carefully - these are the most important things you need to know when participating

Here we publish the rules and formats of how each of our competitions will be run. Each game has specific criteria which are important for a fair contest. To follow these rules is the only way to allow for a proper tournament and credible result. A fair game and an authentic experience is what we want to promote. At the bottom of the page, you'll find the full version of the rules to download if wanted, and the event waiver to SIGN. This document has to be signed and brought to the event. You can download them by clicking the link below. It will open in a new page where you can print them. Or you come and sign directly at the event.


Manx esports - Rumble on the island - official terms and conditions 


This is an abbreviated document of the full Terms and conditions document which can be found on Manx esports homepage. By signing this document, the participant (or the parent or legal guardian of the participant) confirms to have read the full Terms and Conditions document and agrees with it fully.  


This document specifically serves as a waiver form, to relief Manx esports and the event venue from any form of responsibility in connection to the stay of the participant - name below -  at the event.  


Children under the age of 18 and over the age of 12 years shall be accompanied by a parent / responsible adult / guardian for the duration of the stay at the venue. The parent / responsible adult / guardian has to give explicit permission, by signing this document and circling the appropriate part, that the child can stay alone at the venue.   Children from the age of 12 years and under must not stay at the event unaccompanied at any time.   


The entry fee to the competition is £5 per person. Anyone who does not have paid the entry fee must not participate in the tournament. 


Trophies - large framed prints of exclusive and original art work for Manx Esports - will be handed out for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place in respective categories.  


1) There are 6 Nintendo switch consoles available for use. Any player bringing a Nintendo Switch console to the event can use them at their own discretion - but always under supervision of the event staff.  


2) Players are encouraged to bring their own controller. All controllers must be compatible with the Nintendo Switch console. If a controller is not compatible with the Nintendo switch console, a controller with is supplied from the organiser has to be used. Players which do not have their own controller will use a standard one of the tournament organiser, no requests for a specific controller can be made. Players using Nintendo Switch Pro Controllers must disconnect them from any Nintendo Switch console after use.   


3) Any personal belongings brought to the venue have to be clearly labelled with the participant's name, so that they can be returned if they are lost at the event. Manx esports, its staff and the event venue will not assume any liability for lost, stolen or damaged property.  


4) Players must show sportsmanship and respect for each other and for all Players and Staff of the Tournament from Manx esports and its venue. Players at all times during the Tournament must strictly follow all Manx esports’s Instructions. Players must play to the maximum of their abilities and capabilities all the time within the framework of the Tournament and avoid any actions incompatible with the principles of sports professionalism, fairness and fair play. If a player behaves inappropriately and / or does not follow these Rules, Manx esports at its sole discretion determines the need for immediate disqualification from the event. Manx esports reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to prohibit disqualified Players from participating in any future event organised by Manx esports.  


5) All property rights (including, without limitation, any rights to marketing, media, software, trademarks and every other intellectual property) associated with the Tournament belong to Manx esports.  


6) Players and their parents or guardians will also acknowledge the following: The tournament / event can be broadcasted online on different social media channels. Pictures and Video footage will be taken during the event. This footage is sole property of Manx esports.This will be for private but also for marketing purposes. It may be difficult to ensure that footage (still and video) in which the player appears will not be used. If there is a conflict with this and the player / player responsible please speak to the organiser.  


7) Esports have no association with e-gaming and/or gambling whatsoever. It is a game of skill, not of luck.
